Rods with solid, spliced tip have been popular in central Europe for years mainly used by competition anglers during matches where perch are dominant species. At the same time Japanese were using rods of similar design for fishing for smaller fish in the sea with small lures. Fishmaker rods can be used as specialist perch rod or LRF rod in sea water. They are constructed of high modulus carbon fibre and due to their low weight are a pleasure to fish with.
